When I was first with the York lions Drum Corps I was living in the Jane &
Lawrence area (12 The Wishbone) and attending high school at Weston
Collegiate & Vocational School. I left prior to graduating to work for a
local company making carbon paper (Peerless Carbon & Ribbon - a filthy job)
before joining the Toronto Stock Exchange posting bids and offerings on the
trading floor. I spent 7 yrs.. in the brokerage industry working up to the
position of professional Floor Trader with a major broker.

I left the brokerage industry in the early 70's and went into the retail bicycle
business (Bicyclesport at King & Jarvis) where I lost a lot of weight and
learned sales and management during a further seven year cycle. I met and
married my wife Gillian in 1975/76. I left the bicycle business in 1983 and
returned to school at Humber College (Lakeshore campus) attaining a Micro
Computer and Business Applications Certificate and follow that joined the
fledgling Micro Computer industry as a salesperson in 1984.

I spent 19 incredible years in this industry 12 of which were with Apple Computer's
Claris Corporation (9 in Canada & 3 in Australia) rising to the level of
Managing Director in both countries. On returning to Canada in 1997 we
settled in the Niagara Region and in 2003 Gillian and I acquired a 150 year
old house and 12 acres in Beamsville where we have set up an Alpaca Ranch
and the beginnings of a retirement tourism business. I just recently joined
Remax Garden City in St. Catharines as a sales representative specializing
as a Buyers Agent working with people purchasing property in Niagara for
investment and retirement. The journey continues!!

cheers .... The Bear

thanks Patrick.
